Avant beats the snow

With the UK gripped by the longest period of cold weather for nearly 30 years, finding economical ways of shifting snow has become a top priority across many parts of the country. For clearing smaller areas such as car parks, pedestrian precincts and footpaths, Avant Tecno mini loaders equipped with either a dozer blade or snow brush are proving ideal solutions. The machines can also pull a small gritting unit at the same time, completing two jobs in one pass.

One hirer that is successfully using the machines is Affordable Access of Romsey, Hampshire. Owner Tony Thornton says, “Avant machines are perfect for tackling snow clearance work and, unlike some larger equipment, they can be utilised throughout the year for a multitude of tasks ranging from materials handling and digging, to grass cutting and trenching work.”
