Hilti launches Scrappage Scheme

1 July 2009

Hilti is offering enhanced trade-in deals through its Scrappage Scheme, which is running throughout July. The incentive goes over and above the company’s standard trade-in offers as customers can also exchange competitor tools, whether they are in working order or broken.

As an example, the manufacturer says that a customer trading in any 10kg combi hammer and buying a TE 80-ATC model will also receive £75 worth of vouchers for consumables. In addition, if the trade-in is done through one of the Hilti Centres located throughout the country, a canvas tool bag will be supplied free of charge.

Hilti says it will dispose of the old tools in accordance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations, and points out that the new products will offer benefits of increased reliability and productivity. Equipment will also come with the manufacturer’s Lifetime Service initiative, which offer up to two years no-cost servicing and then a repair cost limit after that period.
