Camon Tracmaster, the grounds care machinery specialist, is reporting benefits from establishing an on-line shop earlier this year. “It made sense for us to utilise our experience and contacts within the industry to extend our offering through an on-line activity, where a diverse range of garden machinery, tools and equipment are available for customers to buy at a time that suits them,” says Stephen Pitt, Managing Director.
A gift section has also been set up as a trial for Christmas and, following its quick success, will remain a permanent feature of the site at www.tracmaster.co.uk. Best sellers currently include a herb planter, a pair of herb scissors, a garden tool stool, a Victorian cloche and a pruning set.
The company says that its experience in rapidly dispatching parts and spares to the hire industry enables Yuletide orders to be fulfilled with ease, with overheads kept to a minimum. More products will be introduced in the spring.
Regarding its core gardening machinery activity, Camon Tracmaster is gearing up to launch two new machines at the Executive Hire Show in February, namely a rock crusher and a hydraulic rotavator, both specifically aimed at the hire industry.
