Browns opens Chelmsford Groundcare depot

George Browns Groundcare Hire, the specialist hire activity of the Leighton Buzzard-based machinery dealership George Browns, has just added a dedicated hire operation at its Chelmsford branch, which trades under the name Chelmsford Grass Machinery.

Andy Lathwell, Hire Manager at George Browns, says, “For some time we have been receiving an increasing number of requests to supply machinery that we could not sensibly support from Leighton Buzzard in terms of service and maintenance. We have invested considerably in new equipment for the Chelmsford fleet, including mowing machinery from Kubota and Hayter, BLEC (Global) aeration equipment, and GreenMech chippers.

“Dave Salmon has been appointed as Hire Manager at the branch, which will serve local authorities, golf courses, sports clubs and contractors throughout Essex, southern Suffolk and north Kent, as well east and south London.”
